How Did Tim Make That?

It started with roughing out an idea of a cow ballerina crashing the ballet...

Then, I worked on trying to see the faces in backround a little better...

Next, I tried to get a better feel for the chacters in the foreground...

After that, I pieced the different layers together in Photoshop and threw down some color on top, to try to get a better sense for the right colors...

Then, I went back to tightening up the faces in the background...

Next, tightened up the characters in the foreground...

Following this, added color via Photoshop with a dusting of texture to the backround...

After that, colored the characters in the foreground...

And then finally married the different layers together and presto!
