I was recently asked to design a postcard for a Halloween-ish masquarade ball for children at the Queens Museum called the Spooktacular. All proceeds from the event support the Museum's Education programming. My concept for the project was to draw a line-up of Halloween characters happily marching through the Museum's entrance on their way to the festivities.
Following this, I adjusted to the background to open up the space a bit. In addition, I tweeked the line-up of charcters filling in some additional bodies and dressed them a up a little more to suit the occasion. Then, after that it was time for color.
Following this, the last component was designing the text and dropping it in.
And presto, there you have it... an action packed bonanza of Halloween fun. Happy trick-or-treating everyone!
